Mas Peu del Causse is a restored old Catalan farmhouse in the municipality of Sainte-Colombe-de-la-Commanderie, an ancient Templar commandery from the 12th century superbly restored with its stone facades and cobbled streets.
You will be welcomed within the old walls of this house full of the charm of yesteryears, just like this small village: beautiful, intimate, and so warm.
5 air-conditioned, spacious, and comfortable rooms with private bath/shower and toilet are offered for rent as Bed and Breakfast or as Cottage depending on the season. Each room has its own style that combines modernity with the old. Those on the ground floor overlook a shaded enclosed garden. Those on the upper floor have views of the hills and vineyards.
From the outside, the high walls of the enclosure hide a secret garden where it is pleasant to have meals or sit with a book in an intimate and green setting. You will love the relaxation area (jacuzzi, infrared sauna) set up in old wine vats. And finally, the cherry on top is the large jacuzzi on the terrace. A delight for relaxation!

History of Mas Peu del Causse
The house is typical of the wine-growing villages of Catalonia in the 17th century. The first farms were built initially with stones found in the vineyards, pieces of terracotta to plug the holes.
It was modified, maintained, and then transformed into a house during the 20th century to become a magnificent
guesthouse over the past 20 years.
What characterizes it most is the courtyard-garden, landscaped like an Andalusian garden.
Many birds perch in the large pine tree, others live there all year round.
In the morning and evening, there is constant chirping.
Mas Peu del Causse is only 2 km from the town center of Thuir (Thuir Bed and Breakfast - Thuir Cottage), the neighboring town famous for its Byrrh cellars, and only 5 km from one of the most beautiful villages in France, Castelnou (Castelnou Bed and Breakfast - Castelnou Cottage).
It is ideally located with distances of less than 40 km to discover the Pyrénées Orientales (Pyrénées Orientales Bed and Breakfast - Pyrénées Orientales Cottage) because it is in the middle of the valleys of Tech (Céret, Amélie-les-Bains, Arles sur Tech...) and Têt (Prades, Villefranche de Conflent, Font-Romeu) and at the end of the Roussillon plain that extends towards the Mediterranean Sea (Saint-Cyprien, Canet, Argelès, Collioure).
Close to the Spanish border, you will also have access to the cultural richness and natural beauty of Catalonia.
