INTERNAL REGULATIONS

  • Given the substantial increases in electricity tariffs since 2021 (price per KW x 2), heating in the rooms should be used sparingly and responsibly (a temperature of 20 degrees is quite sufficient considering the winter duvets provided for sleeping) and should only operate when you are present. The use of air conditioning should also be limited in the summer season to your presence in the rooms and ideally set to 23-24 degrees on the remote control, which is more than sufficient to cool the ambient temperature and provide a feeling of freshness. Thank you for your understanding, and please believe that these rules are beyond my control.

  • Only guests with reservations are allowed to enter the rooms and the property (house, wellness area, garden). A guesthouse is not a freely accessible public place; it is a family welcoming you into their home, potentially with other travelers under the same roof, in conviviality and respect for everyone's privacy.

  • Mas Peu del Causse is an old Catalan farmhouse dating back to the 17th century, which gives it all its charm and unique character. It has undergone numerous restorations since the 1980s. However, it does not claim to meet all the standards of modern constructions, particularly regarding sound insulation, and we therefore rely on your responsibility to preserve the rest of the guests' peace (e.g., refrain from slamming doors or speaking too loudly, especially between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.).

General provisions and use of premises

  • Pets are allowed only upon request, under certain conditions (see Pet Regulations) and subject to availability of certain rooms.

  • We ask our guests to dress appropriately at all times and to be dressed and shod when moving in common areas.

  • Children moving within the property are under the sole responsibility of an adult (parents or guardian), and the owner of Mas Peu del Causse cannot be held responsible for any accidents involving unsupervised children. Access to the outdoor jacuzzi and relaxation area is strictly prohibited for minors without the presence of an adult.

  • It is your responsibility to protect your valuables. Do not leave them in your car and be sure to lock your room. The owner of Mas Peu del Causse disclaims all responsibility in case of loss, theft, or disappearance of your belongings.

  • Breakfast will be served in the common dining room or on private tables in the garden between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. (unless otherwise arranged).

  • A kitchen/kitchenette is at your disposal for preparing breakfast if you do not wish to have the one served by the guesthouse, as well as meals for lunch and dinner. You must return this kitchen/kitchenette to the same condition as when you arrived at Mas after each use, i.e., clean and tidy. The owner of Mas Peu del Causse reserves the right to no longer authorize its use if regular abuses are observed.

  • Common areas (kitchen, living room, dining room, etc.) may be used, provided that the rest of the guests' peace is also respected (e.g., refrain from slamming doors or speaking too loudly, especially early in the morning or in the evening). The hours of use for the living room and dining room are from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The kitchen/kitchenette can be used from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

  • For safety reasons and out of respect for everyone, smoking is strictly prohibited in Mas Peu del Causse in accordance with Decree 2006-1386 of November 15, 2016, laying down the conditions for the application of the smoking ban in places used collectively. The entire property is therefore non-smoking.

  • Our rooms are not intended for doing laundry. However, upon request and for long stays, we can provide you with our washing machine for an additional charge of 4€ per wash and 4€ per dryer use.

  • The rooms are decorated and maintained with the utmost care. We kindly ask you to:

    • Respect the premises and use them in accordance with their intended purpose,

    • Not eat in the rooms, as the common dining table and private garden tables are provided for your use,

    • Not drink alcohol in the rooms (wine, beer, champagne, etc.). The glasses provided in the rooms are for water bottles. If your water bottle comes out of the fridge, be sure not to place it on wooden furniture, as the moisture around the bottle may leave marks.

    • Avoid soiling the bedspread by lying down with your shoes on, for example, or by placing your suitcase on it,

    • Not flush any objects down the toilet that may clog the pipes (wipes, tissues, sanitary napkins, etc.) and cause inconvenience to all occupants,

    • Return the rooms to the same condition as when you arrived, using, for example, a broom and dustpan provided in the common kitchen/kitchenette,

    • Leave all items in the room,

    • Create a pile in the bathroom with the towels used during your stay (3 towels per person) and the bath mat on the day of your departure,

    • Leave the keys to the house on the door of your room on the day of your departure.

  • As a guest of Mas, you undertake to declare and financially assume any potential damage for which you may be responsible, using if necessary the liability insurance guarantee of your personal, home, or other insurance. The owner of Mas Peu del Causse reserves the right to invoice you for the cost of repairing or replacing any material damage if your personal insurance does not cover the liability insurance guarantee.

  • Please do not tamper with the radiators, plumbing, faucets, or any other electrical appliances; simply report a problem when it occurs, and it will be addressed.

  • Mindful of our environment and wanting to contribute to its protection, we rely on your cooperation to:

    • Avoid using all the towels provided if you do not really need them. For long stays, bathroom linens (towels and bath mats) can be changed upon request, but not daily,

    • Use your own beach towel for the outdoor jacuzzi area. A beach towel will be provided for the indoor wellness area,

    • Turn off lights or any energy-consuming devices (*) when leaving your room or a common area. For example, make sure the air conditioning or heating is turned off when you open the windows to ventilate your room,

    • Close the windows of your room before leaving for the day,

    • Avoid letting water run unnecessarily while showering or brushing your teeth.

(*) All rooms are checked once a day for faucet cleaning, trash inspection, floor cleaning if necessary, etc. Electrical appliances will then be turned off.

Thank you for respecting these rules, and we wish you a pleasant and enjoyable stay at Mas Peu del Causse.
