INTERNAL REGULATIONS
Welcome to our old 17th-century Catalan farmhouse. To ensure the comfort and tranquility of all our guests, we kindly ask you to read the following information before and during your stay.
🏠 Energy and comfort in the rooms

Heating: Due to substantial increases in electricity rates since 2021 (kWh price doubled), we kindly invite you to use heating sparingly. A temperature of 20°C is perfectly sufficient, given the winter duvets provided. Heating should only be operated when you are present in the room.

Air conditioning: In summer, we kindly ask you to limit its use to when you are present in the room and to set it ideally to 23-24°C, which is more than sufficient to achieve a pleasant feeling of coolness.

Ventilation: Please turn off heating or air conditioning when you open the windows to air your room.
🚪 Access to the property and rooms

Only persons who have made a reservation are authorized to enter the rooms and the property (house, wellness area, garden). A guest house is a family-style accommodation, potentially with other travelers under the same roof. We count on your respect for everyone's privacy and tranquility.
🔇 Historic character of the house and tranquility

Mas Peu del Causse is an old Catalan farmhouse dating back to the 17th century, which gives it all its charm and unique character. It has undergone numerous restorations since the 1980s. However, it does not claim to meet all the standards of modern constructions, particularly regarding sound insulation.

We therefore count on your responsibility to preserve the rest of other guests:

Avoid slamming doors,

Avoid speaking too loudly, especially between 10pm and 8am.

🐾 Pets
Pets are accepted only upon request, subject to certain conditions (see Pet Accommodation Regulations) and depending on the availability of certain rooms.
👗 Dress code
We kindly ask our guests to wear appropriate attire at all times, and to be dressed and wearing shoes when moving around in common areas.
👶 Children and safety

Children on the property are under the sole responsibility of an adult (parents or guardian). The owner of Mas Peu del Causse cannot be held responsible for any accident occurring to an unsupervised child.

Access to the outdoor jacuzzi and wellness area is strictly prohibited for minors without adult supervision.
💼 Valuables
It is your responsibility to protect your valuables. Do not leave them in your car and make sure to lock your room door. The owner of Mas Peu del Causse disclaims all responsibility in case of loss, theft, or disappearance of items belonging to you.
🥐 Breakfast
Breakfast is served in the communal dining room or on the private garden tables between 8:00am and 11:00am (unless otherwise arranged).
🍳 Kitchen / kitchenette
A kitchen / kitchenette is available for preparing breakfast (if you do not wish to have the one served by the guest house) and meals for lunch and dinner.
We kindly ask you to:

Return this kitchen / kitchenette in the same condition as upon your arrival, i.e., clean and tidy, after each use,

Respect the opening hours (8:00am - 9:00pm).
The owner of Mas Peu del Causse reserves the right to no longer authorize its use if regular misuse is observed.
🕒 Opening hours for common areas

Living room and dining room: 8:00am - 11:00pm

Kitchen / kitchenette: 8:00am - 9:00pm
-
Garden: 7:00am - 11:30pm
Common areas (kitchen, living room, dining room, etc.) may be used provided that the rest of other Mas guests is preserved (avoid slamming doors or speaking too loudly, especially early in the morning or in the evening).
Use of the garden in the morning and evening must be done in respect of the rest of other guests and/or the owners of the Mas (no loud conversations, loud laughter, etc.).
🚭 Non-smoking policy

For safety reasons and out of respect for everyone, smoking is prohibited inside Mas Peu del Causse, in accordance with decree 2006-1386 of November 15, 2016 setting out the conditions for application of the smoking ban in places assigned to collective use.

Garden tolerance: Smoking in the garden is permitted, provided it does not inconvenience other guests. We kindly ask you to ensure the ashtray you use is cleaned at the end of your stay.
🧺 Laundry

Our rooms are not designed for doing laundry. However, upon your request and for long stays, we can make our washing machine available to you for an additional charge of:

€5 per wash,

€5 per tumble dryer cycle.

🛏️ Bed linen and towels
-
Bed linen and towels provided to guests during their stay are of professional quality and are supplied clean and stain-free.

We kindly ask you to:

Check their condition upon arrival and immediately report any anomalies observed,
-
In the absence of reporting within 24 hours of arrival, the linen will be considered compliant,
-
In case of stains appearing during the stay (e.g., makeup, sunscreen) that cannot be eliminated despite the use of stain remover and high-temperature washing, the guest will be held responsible and must reimburse the concerned item(s) based on their purchase price on the day of observation.

🏡 Respect for rooms
Rooms are decorated and maintained with the utmost care. We thank you in advance:

For respecting the premises and using them in accordance with their intended purpose,
-
For not eating in the rooms (the communal table in the dining room and the private tables in the garden are available to you),
-
For not drinking alcohol in the rooms (wine, beer, champagne, etc.). The glasses provided in the rooms are for water bottles. If your water bottle comes out of the fridge, be careful not to place it on wooden furniture, as the moisture around the bottle may leave marks,
-
For avoiding soiling the bedspread (by lying on it with your shoes on, for example, or by placing your suitcase on it),
-
For not flushing any objects down the toilet that could block the pipes (wipes, paper tissues, sanitary towels, etc.) and cause inconvenience to all occupants. Certain pipes, depending on the room configuration, may be sensitive to excessive toilet paper use. We therefore kindly ask you to limit its use to what is strictly necessary. A bathroom bin is available if needed. Please do not hesitate to ask us if you have any doubts.

For returning the rooms in the same condition as upon your arrival (a broom and dustpan are available in the communal kitchen / kitchenette),

For leaving all objects present in the room,

For making a pile in the bathroom with the sets of towels used during your stay and the bath mat on the day of your departure,

For leaving the house keys on your room door on the day of your departure.
⚠️ Liability for damage

As a guest of the Mas, you undertake to declare and financially assume any damage for which you may be responsible, by engaging if necessary the civil liability guarantee of your personal, home, or other insurance.

The owner of Mas Peu del Causse reserves the right to charge you the cost of repair or replacement of material damage if your personal insurance does not cover civil liability guarantee.
🔧 Technical interventions

We kindly ask you not to intervene on radiators, plumbing, taps, or any other electrical appliance. Simply report a problem when it occurs and the necessary action will be taken.
🌿 Environmental commitment
Sensitive to our environment and wishing to contribute to its protection, we count on your collaboration to:

Avoid using all the towels provided if you do not really need them. For long stays, bathroom linen (towels and floor mats) can be changed upon request, but not daily,

Use your own beach towel for the outdoor jacuzzi area and in no case the towels provided in your room,
-
Turn off lights or any energy-consuming appliance when leaving your room or a common area,
-
Close your room windows before leaving for the day,
-
Do not let water run unnecessarily in the shower or when brushing your teeth.
Note: All rooms are checked once a day for tap cleaning, bin control, floor cleaning if necessary, etc. Electrical appliances that are left on will also be turned off in your absence (unless a justified prior request is made).
